Satuday’s Phoenix Rising clash against LA Galaxy II will take place at the Dignity Health Sports Park Track and Field Stadium, both clubs have confirmed.
Previously, matches had been taking place at the club’s first team stadium. An exception to this had been Galaxy II’s match against Sacramento Republic.
When asked which facility he would prefer to play at earlier in this week, Rising coach Rick Schantz replied “you’d always prefer to play in the main stadium, and last I saw the track field doesn’t look that good right now, so I’d like to avoid that.”

However, Schantz later downplayed the difference between the two, suggesting it “doesn’t matter.”
Additionally, fans will not be allowed into the stadium to watch the match. An LA Galaxy spokesperson confirmed that no fans will be ticketed for Los Dos home games this season, with only friends and family of staff and players in attendance.
This Saturday is the first of two away clashes with LA Galaxy II for Rising, with the second coming on September 29, just days before a meeting with Orange County.
