From the Ashes is launching a new prediction game with a difference.

This one doesn’t test your knowledge of the players. Nor does it test your knowledge of the team’s tactics.

Instead, it’s all about working out what the attendance will be at Rising home games.

So how does it work?

Every home game, you take a guess at how many people are going to show up. The closer you are to the official attendance, the more points you score. It’s as simple as that.

The five closest predictions each game will be awarded 10, 8, 6, 4 or 2 points respectively. There are also bonus points. If you guess the exact attendance, you get 20 bonus points. If you’re within 1% of the actual figure, you get 6 bonus points. Everybody else guessing within 5% of the attendance gets 3 bonus points.

As the season progresses, we add up each weeks points to create an overall table. If enough people get involved, maybe we’ll even invest in a prize…

To join the attendance prediction league, send over your prediction for the New Mexico game to fromtheashesphxr@gmail.com by 5:30pm Arizona time on Saturday. For following games, you then have until 2 hours before each kick-off to submit each prediction.
