Arturo Rodriguez has been named the From the Ashes/Rising Matchday Player of the Month for June 2021.
Rodriguez featured in all four matches over the past month, making three appearances off the bench and recording his first Rising start against Sacramento. Over the month, he created nine chances and scored once.
The 22-year-old’s standout game in June came against San Diego Loyal at home. After entering the match in the 72nd minute with his side trailing by two, Rodriguez provided two assists in stoppage time to rescue a point for the hosts.
The Player of the Month award was calculated based upon average match ratings for all games in June. Both fan and media votes were combined with equal weighting. All players who received a rating in at least half of all games over the period were eligible for the award.
Goalkeeper Ben Lundt and forward Solomon Asante finished in second and third place respsectively.
